How To Get My Man
Posted by admin on Wednesday Jan 18, 2012 Under relationship

Why is it so damn hard to find a boyfriend?
I’m 20 years old and have never had a boyfriend. I consider myself attractive and not to brag but people tell me I look like a model all the time. I have “dated” guys in the past but they all usually just want sex so I end up dumping them. The guys that like me are either creepers 20 years older than me or they are the players who just want sex. I really like this one guy who is really nice and I think we would be perfect together, but he is not into me. I just dont understand how most of my friends have bfs (some even have two!) and I cant find a decent guy. I just want to love someone and have the same feelings returned but I constantly get my heart broken
Everytime I start to like a guy, he is either a dog or doesnt like me. And Im not constantly searching for someone, I’m just so sick of being alone. Whats wrong with me? Why cant I find a decent man?
It is unfortunate but true that at your age most Relationships are best on give and take. That is boy’s/young men want to take from the girls that give. I may have a few suggestions for you to try and not to try.
Don’ts: Date someone at work. Date someone you meet at a party or bar. Get desperate and lower your expectations. And definitely don’t think you can change someone.
Do’s: Network with friends you trust. Look at places like book stores or community volunteer projects. If you go to church you might find the type of person your looking for, most churches have “socials” for young singles. Be patient waiting for the right one is worth it.
Good luck and for now just explore the things in life that make you passionate about life.
I’m Yours(ukulele)

13: Game of Death $14.93 Thai/American pop singer Krissada Terrence stars in this cynical thriller adapted from the manga My Mania and detailing the harrowing journey of a luckless man who engages in a disturbing underground game in a desperate bid to get his life back on track. Chit is a guy with some serious problems: He’s just been fired from his job, his car has been impounded, his debts are growing, and he can’t seem to maintain a relationship to save his life. When Chit receives a mysterious phone call inviting him to participate in a bizarre underground game that promises to solve all of his financial woes should he take top prize, the prospect of earning some quick cash proves too tempting to resist. In order to win the game, Chit will have to complete thirteen tasks designed specifically to push him to the edge of sanity. While the tasks start out innocently enough, they rapidly progress into life or death territory – making Chit question his moral compass and highlighting how far some folks are willing to go to achieve wealth. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi |

20 Lines a Day $2.95 For a period of just over a year, Harry Mathews set about following Stendhal’s dictum for writers of “twenty lines a day, genius or not.” What resulted is a book that is part journal, parts writer’s manual, and part genius. First undertaken as a kind of discipline, the work molds itself into a penetrating reflection on daily events in Mathews’s life, his friends, himself, and the act of writing. “I cannot express the extent of my admiration for Harry Mathews, which is well-nigh evangelical. There are now, here and there, other zephyrs blowing—John Barth, Susan Sontag, Donald Barthelme, Thomas Pynchon—but none so strong as this.” (Thomas Disch) “20 Lines a Day might be considered an exercise in constrictive form. . . . Though written in the self-preoccupied, matter-of-fact voice of everyday mulling, it has the irony and symmetry of a parable.” (San Francisco Chronicle 8-28-88) “Weighted by sadness, 20 Lines is caliginous, edgy, and worrisome. . . . Mathews frequently is wise, as when he peers inward at the fluttery life of his own mind. Out of the pattern of one’s routines comes clues to how life might best be lived.” (George Myers, Jr., American Book Review March-April 89) “We all may see moments of ourselves here, as well as many revealing glimpses of Mathews’ day-to-day life, but what we can only get a feel for—and . . . get it here as nowhere else—is how a man, living a day like any of us, can generate wild, mysterious fictions in the midst of it all. We are carried beyond telephone, through letter, past thought, to sensibility, all at the easy pace of 20 Lines a Day.” (Bill Bamberger, New Pages #14) “Despite the fact that these lines are exercises, they are more than simple jottings. They offer the reflections of genius; they will be read (and reread) for more than one day, for more than one year. They are ‘lasting.’” (Irving Malin, Hollins Critic 2-89) |

A Corpse is a Corpse $5.99 It started with a corpse sitting in Jim’s office chair… Who’s Waldo? Jim sat across from the dead man, an unfired gun in his hand. “Who the hell are you, Waldo?” he said in the angry tone that helped keep the fear bottled up. “How did you get in here? What are you doing at my desk?” Sitting in the chair opposite the body, he stretched out one leg in deference to the dress sword at his side. The weapon’s scarlet tassel clashed with the burgundy fabric of the chair, as did the red plume in his hat. “What the hell happened to you, man?” The corpse didn’t answer, its arms stretched out wide on either side, staring at the ceiling. |
